About this policy
The CA100-Admins-IdentityProtection-AdminPortals-AnyPlatform-MFA policy targets the Microsoft admin portals and asks anyone holding one of twenty two privileged directory roles to satisfy the multifactor authentication strength before getting in. Admin portals are where the really damaging changes happen, so this puts a dedicated gate in front of them regardless of device or platform. It is a sensible extra layer even alongside broader MFA policies, because it uses authentication strength rather than the classic MFA control.
